Sim Racing

Online racing, esports racing, esports motorsport.
Call it what you will, we don't think it has a big enough following. One problem with this genre of eSports has partly been the video games themselves, not necessarily Sim Racing as a whole.

The issue? Racing games have not lent themselves well to spectating compared to other games. As online racers we have always been behind the MOBA, FPS and such in this regard, but things are hopefully changing for the better.

The iRacing platform has lead the way for the longest with its spectator mode, allowing broadcasting of events, but the platform is somewhat aging now. Project Cars 2 used a much more modern interface via its Madness Engine, and Automobilista 2 continues that trend.

By the way...Automobilista 2 is often referred to as [AMS] or [AMS2]. The word Automobilista translates to 'Motorist', and hence people tend to call it 'Auto Motorist Simulator' or rather, use the acronyms.

Automobilista 2 is a well optimised PC racing game. It supports virtual reality and a large range of sim racing and gaming equipment including steering wheels, shifters and even motion rigs. It's graphical quality, and ability to broadcast virtual races is what we need more of from the likes of developers REIZA . Be sure to check out their forums.

At [TSR] we want to play a small part in the increase of eSports motorsports, or eSports racing.
